- Following continued pain and discomfort, had successful surgery on his right wrist Jan. 17, 2014 in Los Angeles at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic (Dr. Steve Shin)…the procedure was to relieve arthritis symptoms related to his ligament tear…Souray will miss the remainder of the season.
WHL West Second All-Star Team (1996) Played in NHL All-Star Game (2004, 2007, 2009) Traded to Montreal by New Jersey with Josh DeWolf and New Jersey's 2nd round choice (later traded to Washington, later traded to Tampa Bay Tampa Bay selected Andreas Holmqvist) in 2001 Entry Draft for Vladimir Malakhov, March 1, 2000. Missed remainder of 2001-02, and 2002-03 due to wrist injury vs. Tampa Bay, November 17, 2001. Signed as a free agent by Farjestad (Sweden), September 22, 2004. Signed as a free agent by Edmonton, July 12, 2007. Missed majority of 2007-08 due to shoulder injury at Vancouver, October 13, 2007, February 8, 2008. Missed majority of 2009-10 due to head (October 8, 2009 vs. Calgary) and hand (January 30, 2010 at Calgary) injuries. Loaned to Hershey (AHL) by Edmonton, October 6, 2010.
