CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis and the Tampa Bay Lightning spoiled Calgary star Jarome Iginla's milestone night.

Lecavalier and St. Louis each had two goals and an assist, and Mark Recchi had five assists to help the Lightning beat the Flames 8-6 on Sunday night.

"That was right out of the 80s," St. Louis said. "A wide open game, a lot of goals, everybody got involved. It was a fun game to play."

Iginla had two goals and three assists to break the Flames' career scoring record. His second goal of the game, 14 seconds into the third period, was his 400th.

Iginla has 834 points in 922 career games, all with the Flames. He broke the franchise record of 830 set by Theo Fleury in 791 games. The two were teammates for three seasons before Fleury was traded to Colorado in the 1998-99 season.

Iginla's milestone 831st point came when Craig Conroy deflected in Dion Phaneuf's shot after Iginla had started the sequence by getting the puck back to Phaneuf.

"I was excited to get it at home. I wasn't too picky about it being a real nice one. It was cool to get it on Conroy's," Iginla said. "Unfortunately the night didn't go the way we wanted, we let it get away from us. Looking back on it down the road, it's still going to be a great night."

Recchi acknowledged Iginla's feat with a friendly tap on the shinpads.

"He's the face of the franchise. When you think of the Calgary Flames, you think of Jarome Iginla and it's great to see him get that opportunity and to do it at home is nice, too," Recchi said. "He's had a great career and he's an amazing player. To be the franchise leader, that's a great honor."

It was a milestone night for Recchi, too. He moved past Bryan Trottier into 14th on the NHL's career list with 1,426 points (535 goals, 891 assists).

Evgeny Artyukhin, Steven Stamkos, Ryan Malone and Vaclav Propsal also scored for Tampa Bay. The Lightning snapped a seven-game road losing streak.

"We have too much respect for our coaching staff. The guys in here have stuck together through this. Guys aren't going to quit," Recchi said. "It's been an interesting year, a frustrating year for all of us, but at the same time, you're not going to quit on each other."

Conroy, Mike Cammalleri, Jamie Lundmark and Todd Bertuzzi added goals for Calgary, set to open a seven-game trip on Tuesday night in Ottawa.

"It's a wakeup call for us," Conroy said. "If we try to run and gun, that's not the way we're going to win games."

Notes: Calgary rookie RW Brandon Prust (concussion) is back on the sidelines. After missing 31 games because of a broken jaw, Prust was reinjured Friday night in his fourth game back when he was elbowed by Minnesota's Derek Boogard. Boogard was suspended for five games. ... Warren Peters was recalled from Quad Cities of the American Hockey League to take Prust's spot. ... St. Louis and Lecavalier are the lone remaining members of the Lightning team that beat the Flames in the 2004 Stanley Cup final. The Flames have six players remaining.
